Nurse Specialized in Wound, Ostomy and Continence (NSWOC)
An individual who is a Registered Nurse who has successfully completed a nursing wound, ostomy and continence education program recognized by World Council of Enterostomal Therapists. The Wound, Ostomy and Continence Institute Wound, Ostomy and Continence Education Program (WOC-EP) is one such program recognized by the WCET.
Past ET Nurse (Nurses Specialized in Wound, Ostomy and Continence)
An individual who is not a Registered Nurse but who, prior to 1976, successfully completed and Enterostomal Therapy Nursing Education Program recognized by NSWOCC.
Honorary Life Member
Every NSWOC who, as President of the Organization, has completed at least one (1) full term of office.
Any member recommended to the Board of Directors by another member and approved by a two-thirds (2/3) vote at the Annual Membership Meeting.
Any health care professional who is interested in and supportive of the objectives of the Organization.
- Students presently enrolled in a nursing wound, ostomy and continence program recognized by the WCET such as the Wound, Ostomy and Continence Institute WOC-EP.
- Students presently enrolled in or graduates of the Wound, Ostomy and Continence Institute Skin Health Program courses.
- Any individual who is employed by or represents a company whose primary business is related to the field of wound, ostomy and continence care
- Any NSWOC who is retired from employment but remains interested in the objectives of the Organization.
