As we approach March 31st, we stand together to recognize and celebrate International Transgender Day of Visibility. This day serves as a reminder to celebrate the invaluable contributions of transgender individuals to our society and to raise awareness of the discrimination they face worldwide.
At NSWOCC, we firmly believe that Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (EDIA) are not just ideals but essential values that help shape our organization's identity. By embracing these principles, we can create an environment where every Member will feel valued, respected, and provided with equitable opportunities for growth and advancement.
Equity, to NSWOCC, means fostering conditions where all individuals can thrive and reach their full potential. We strive for inclusivity by welcoming and active engagement of all voices. We define diversity as encompassing the richness of human differences, and inclusivity as actively engaging and welcoming all voices within every aspect of our organization—both NSWOCC and the Wound, Ostomy and Continence Institute— particularly those who have been marginalized or disenfranchised.
